v.0.1.8 - THE AUTO STORAGE UPDATE
Still a long way from a finished game but... game-play... and now storage depots can be set to "auto" and will automatically be allocated a resource if there is no other appropriate storage.
Menu controls:
- [ T ] or or [ B button] to toggle tools menu - use this to access: engineering, construction and stats;
- [ LB ] or [ < ] to tab left;
- [ RB ] or [ > ] to tab right;
- number pad [ 4 ] = d-pad [ left ];
- number pad [ 8 ] = d-pad [ up ];
- number pad [ 6 ] = d-pad [ right ];
- number pad [ 2 ] = d-pad [ down ];
- [ Y ] or [ Y button ] (when in menu) to toggle additional options;
Additional controls:
- [ M ] or controller [ menu button ] to toggle main menu (e.g. settings, save, quit);
- [ G ] to toggle cheat/G-mode.
- [ H ] to toggle heat map;
- [ F ] to toggle heat map logging;
- [ R ] to toggle latest daily report;
- [ LB ] (when not in menu) to sprint;
- [ RB ] (when not in menu) or [ V ] to toggle view;
- [ A button ] or [ left mouse button ] to teleport / pick-up / put-down;
- [ X button ] or [ right mouse button ] to interact / target;
- [ Y button ] or [ space-bar ] (when not in menu) to jump;
G-View controls:
- [ W ] to move up;
- [ S ] to move down;
- [ A ] to move left;
- [ D ] to move right;
- [ Q ] and [ E ] to rotate;
- [ HOME ] to return to default position;
- [ mouse scroll ] to zoom in G-View;
- [ left shift ] + [ mouse scroll ] to zoom target window only;
- hold [ right mouse button ] and move mouse to rotate;
- hold [ middle mouse button ] and move mouse to move camera;
- click [ left mouse button ] to teleport;
- click [ right mouse button ] to target;
UI controls:
- [ 0 ] = toggle master UI;
- [ 1 ] = toggle mini-map;
- [ 2 ] = toggle calendar;
- [ 3 ] = toggle clock;
- [ 4 ] = toggle alerts;
- [ C ] = toggle controls;
...I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes to performance, but you can now toggle the terrain and water render quality from the settings menu.
Please note: Online version Save function not active (may never be).
Downloadable Save function includes terrain, stats, inventory and player position - still to add environment/construction data.
Online version doesn't render the engineering "wire frame" texture.
Dirt-sifter building has no function at the moment.
Inventory system is obsolete - use "Tools" > "Storage" instead.
To do list:
- add environment/construction data to Save function;
- humanoid personality/DNA system - in progress;
- tool slot/animations - in progress;
- crafting recipe system;
- achievement system;
- harbour/island trading;
- clouds;
- weather/ wind speed;
- improved day/night lighting system;
- revisit models/textures/audio;
- optimisation;
